Anti-vibration boring bars are specialized tools designed to reduce or eliminate vibrations during boring operations, which is crucial for achieving high precision, superior surface finish, and an extended tool life. Our antivibration boring bars have a piston and cylinder mechanism wherein the piston acts as a damper and the fluid-filled cylinder absorbs the vibration. Thus, it offers stability, accuracy, and rigidity to the process.

Regular boring bars are recommended where the L/D < 3, but when L/D > 3, the vibration will cause chatter marks and linings to appear on the workpiece surface. In situations where L/D > 3, antivibration boring bars are recommended.

We manufacture customized antivibration boring bars as per our customers’ requirements. They are available in shank options of side lock type, cylindrical shank type, arbor type, taper shank type, etc.

They are available in Rough boring as well as Micro boring options. Through spindle coolant is also available.
